It has always been an honor to be a midwife. Each birth I’ve attended has been a rare opportunity to revel in the diversity of life and the strength of the human spirit. Moved by the compassion of my midwife who cared for me as I gave birth at home in 1994, I was called to be a midwife when I was 23. Since then, I’ve attend births in New Mexico, the Philippines and in Guatemala. Some of the most cherished moments of my life have been spent intimately sharing the universally sacred experience of birth with the families of cultures entirely different than my own. My work as a home birth midwife in Taos keeps me inspired and directly connected to my passion. I am so grateful for the support of my dear husband, our boys, and the land that sustains us in our beautiful canyon home.
